Stars are strange things. They provide the raw matter needed to form planets and the energy which allows life as we know it to exist. And yet they are also unimaginably vast and powerful cauldrons of plasma which can destroy everything around them when they die. And when they die, they send the rich variety of elements they have produced into the depths of space to seed the creation of new stars and planets. It's like a form reincarnation.
