For those who don't already know gnolls are a race of matriarchal hyena people who are usually incredibly barbaric and are well known for their cowardice and prolific slave trading. They are typically a very selfish, lazy, hedonistic, and all around evil race. However, there are known tribes of gnolls that have been established in certain regions who have cast aside their connection to their less-than "good" brethren and have instead decided to try to live as wild hunters deep in the wilderness, distancing themselves from other intelligent races when possible in an effort to protect themselves.

Yrgnu is a member of such a tribe. They have immigrated further and further north over several generations as the other intelligent races (mostly humans) have extended their range and claimed more and more territory in an effort to prevent any conflict between themselves and other races. A single major conflict could result in the annihilation of this tribe's already meager numbers.

At this time the tribe has been pressed as far north as this southern-acclimated race can go. They can not survive the extreme winters of the Nordic lands, and Nords are known to be particularly intolerant of the bestial races, seeing them as nothing but a kind of pest that needs to be snuffed out.

As the tribe's strongest and most highly respected champion it is Yrgnu's duty to help her people stake out their rightful claim to territory in the land they currently inhabit, as moving is no longer an option, and protect her people at all costs.
