Avania continues (finally) with Chapter 17, part 1, November 5th at 7:00pm EST on https://worldofavania.com

The wait is over at last! As I mentioned in the 5th anniversary status update, I will be splitting this chapter into two parts where there is a natural scene break, to get an update out and keep things moving–at least a little bit!

It is a bit frustrating for me to be so far from the pace I had set over the past few years of drawing and posting, but the combination of more free time during the initial pandemic years followed by the rapid reduction in free time upon entering the fatherhood years, has made for a big and continuously evolving change in how I work on art projects–Avania in particular. So thank you for your patience and support during these challenging times.

I am optimistic about the future though, because having made it this far and still kept the comic going–no matter how slowly–I believe in my ability to continue to do so. It won’t be all that long before I’ll be able to ramp production back up again, and my desire to get to upcoming chapters is stronger than ever!

But for now, enjoy this first half of Chapter 17. The rest of the chapter is already laid out and ready to be inked, so while it is the longer of the two halves, it will hopefully be at least a little less of a wait to see it onto the site.
