This song is the BGM that plays when the group (or rather parts of it) enters a fort helmed by the church of Elia which rounds up the magically-adept, and those who have chosen to live with the Summoner's Tribes in the desert (which of course, also use magic.) Here, they are essentially brain-washed for six months to a year, before being released to live as part of 'functional society'. Those who finish their internment are invited to stay and continue to work there.

While it is said that 'no one dies in The Settlement', this is believed by many to be utterly untrue. Whether or not this has to do with the fact that anyone who actually comes out of the Settlement is not even the same person that went in, or the fact that people may actually be being put to death if they aren't 'cured' is unclear.

This song actually sat on my hard drive for a good few years, actually. When I initially worked on Season 3 back in 2010 (and actually gave up >_>; ) I had begun work on this song, although it was only a few tracks and about 30 seconds back then.

I decided to challenge myself and lay a 4/4 4-on-the-floor rhythm over the song in some spots, which is in 3/4 time all the way through. That was fun, actually! :D
