Pesky Little Bugs by Wolfe

Pesky Little Bugs

Wolfe

Nyria: Pesky little things! Flicks
Me: No, Nyria! That's not a bug, that's...
Dante: AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

Everyone knows Nyria and Dante loathe one another. There is no end to how much hate these two hold for the other... but, considering Nyria happens to be a Guardian, while Dante is a Mirror... Well, these things just don't end well. Hope Dante remembers he can fly short distances, if not, well... there's this nice, big, squishy wall for him to run into.

Nyria is my good friend's Guardian dragon on Flight Rising. While chatting on Skype, we came up with the idea that because in this dragon ruled world, Nyria is so giant compared to Nyria, Dante would get squished... a lot! Or, in this case, flicked like the pesky, annoying bug she thinks he is.

I'll have to go back in and darken the sketch, once I decide to try my hand at doing it digitally, that is.

I hear youre a self learner? I am too, i have never had an art class. I draw and lean by observation and i study things.

Yep, I am! ^-^ I tried taking an art class in High School, but it didn't teach me anything. I mainly wanted to take it so I could learn to color and shade traditionally... however, our teacher only allowed us to draw things he wanted, and most the time, we weren't even drawing, but sitting around talking. It was a pathetic excuse for an art class.

But, same. I try to look at as many real life pictures as possible to try to get a good sense of anatomy, be it animal or human. Though, I've never really watched someone draw, seeing as I've had no one that really shows any interest in art in my family. My mom used to draw, and her stuff was amazing! She did mostly realistic stuff, like horses and Native Americans. Though, seems like after I was born, she stopped all together.

Yea, i havent watched many people draw either. The art in my family comes from my dad's side. Im well with anatomy with anything i draw. I cant draw humans very well though.

Humans are rather... funky. Animals are pretty easy to understand, humans more complicated. Or, so I think. xD Though, for the longest time, I used to draw nothing but dragons, but I stopped for a couple years, and now I can't get their wings right to save my life... >.<
