I just have barn owl fever lately! All I want to make are barn owls. I got the idea for this mask after doing several owl-wing themed mask sketches, and this was my favorite. I'm also working on an alternative design for this one, which has an expanse of night sky above the owl, and along the nose. This is hand-tooled, shaped and painted 7-oz leather. Despite how delicate it looks, it's actually very sturdy, yet still flexible.
