An orphan has lived on the streets for as long as he can remember. Being younger and smaller than the other orphans, he is no stranger to starvation and beatings. After one unlucky night, the orphan is showed a small bit of kindness by another orphan: an older black wolf. The two are quick to become friends and they fight to survive together, increasing their success in stealing food and their chances of survival.
