So, another practice piece. This is Jukka! He's an awesome deer, and I wanted to draw not a wolf. So I thought I'd give this a shot.
Deer faces are strange, they're very much not wolf faces, as they have this wedge shape to them because of that big chewing muscle, rather than the big crushing muscles that wolves have. They've also got these big flat noses, and antlers. WTF are even antlers?
But, after abut, eh...three hours of work, I managed to draw this! Jukka is a Sitka deer, so I went with more a more of a Sitka deer coloration. I also tried something different with the fur, but I'm not entirely sure if I like it, but, overall, I think the whole thing came out really well, and I'm happy to be able to present this to Mayor Deerbutt.

The anatomy is decent with the exception of the collar. You also need a little bit more shadow between the eyes where the skull curves in a little and then bumps out to make the snout. with a little more practice you'll have it down easily. ungulate faces and necks are a bit tricky to work with.
