I was going to do a medieval scenery with him, but then I changed my mind. I had been wanting to do a "Modern" era of Nicodemus so bad! He's a lot colder in modern times. More close minded, more distant, more "Grey" in terms of morality. Nick's never been a Goody Goody character however, but he's chaotically neutral for the most part, except in modern times he starts to get a little vicious with his ambitions. Some people, he's a hero, some, he's the Devil himself. Depends where you're morals lie I suppose and if he's fucked you over. Nicodemus is a coward and disloyal. He has back stabbed a lot. He's not "Evil", but he's not going to stick around for long. Or he could also end up harming some opposing him for his causes, but innocent people? He draws a line there. What he despises is tyranny and money. But maybe to some he's a tyrant himself...

His way of thinking stems from his long life and upbringing. He's lived long enough to see it time and time again - the cruelty of mankind. He was raised in a abbey (monastery), materialism was frowned upon. Money was not a drive to aid people. You helped people because it was your life's duty. Take that great moral and mix it with a lot of strife and endless cycles of tyranny repeating itself and you'll get someone who has a dismal view of the current world. Someone who wants to change it but may go about it too extreme? He's slit a lot of throats to aid people.

He's like a hybrid between Robin Hood and Sweeny Todd. He hates the rich, wants to give to the needy, but he's got this Revenge complex to go about it.

Anyways, some other info about him, he's a dirgehowler but was born a human. Born around 600 A.D England, conceived in incestuous rape. He was not rejected by his mother however, instead, he had a very close bond to her, and she somewhat coddled him, which gives way to his extreme conceited behaviour and pride. He's known as the Black Bastard to many, and it' not just because he's literally a bastard child (it does play a part in his title somewhat), he's a downright BASTARD in a lot of people's eyes. Nicodemus only has a select few people in his circle of close friends. People who are brave enough to deal with his overwhelming conceit. Sometimes he honestly doesn't even know he's pissing people off. It's just how he is.
Because he was so coddled by his mother, even well into adulthood, he's cowardly. He won't admit it though, but he is only brave in very rare cases. Most of the time he turns tail when the pressure's on, yet he's like a cornered beast. With nowhere to run, he'll bare his teeth and put up a fight.
In modern times only, he is a heavy smoker, and addicted to Hydros. Otherwise, throughout time, he's been fairly healthy, except with bad arthritis (due to his poor breeding quality.).
He's got a son who he is pretty close too. He confides in him a lot, yet his son is a lot braver than he is. He won't openly admit that though.

He's spent hundreds of years living in the north arctic with his own kind in a natural setting, but human life always calls him back once in awhile. He's constantly struggling between being a wild animal with a human mind still. This is the curse of being turned into a dirgehowler of coarse. You're brain never fully "turns". It's split between human emotions and dirgehowler instincts. This is a horrible combination and Nicodemus avoids his close friends during certain times of the year when he's more likely to act on instinct (Breeding season Spring and Winter Hunger. He becomes vicious and is afraid he'll kill someone he loves). When the human side gets mad, the dirgehowler side reacts.
