Whiffle is a young feral mouse who bribed a familiar into allowing her to watch and study their master's art. She's a fairly skilled ritual caster and an herbalist that could do a lot of harm if she wanted as she specializes in body-altering magic and resurrections. In the end, she uses it to make herself into a giant (4 ft tall) slightly anthro mouse thinking that it makes her relatively immune to the problems of predation and bring underfoot.
