Most of my old digital drawings have gone lost on a broken harddrive. These are some of the remaining files. I used to draw a lot of traditional art in the past. In 2008 I got my first tablet, the one I still have, but I rarely used it. This has obviously changed in recent years. Sometimes I like to look back at the rough beginning.

The blue cat was drawn in 2008 and it’s one of my first digital drawings. I used one of my own photos as reference.

The second creature was drawn in 2009 in paint. It’s my "very original” original species. These guys have changed their appearance a few times until I gave up and stopped working on them. They’re still important protagonists in my unwritten stories, but I doubt that I can ever settle on a unique design.

The tadpoles are an attempt to redraw something cute from my childhood. I was probably 9 years old when I drew the one on the left.

The last two were drawn for a friend in 2012. Opabinia with a laptop is the result of us making jokes during a lecture. I don’t remember how that happened, though.
