"Just experimenting with the coloration of my Neo-Elites.

Examples listed from left to right:

1- General example of coloration, nothing bright or fancy.

2- Similar to #1. Basic drab coloration, a little less so, and sporting an example of the feather dyeing that some of them favor.

3- Sort of a "melanistic" example, also sporting feather dyes of a brighter color.

4- An "amelanistic/leucistic" sort of coloration, also with feather dyes and a bit of skull paint, the latter of which is often used by those that choose not to wear helmets.

5- Random one I threw in. Not sure if it will work or not, just wanted one to round out the set.

These are male examples. The females are somewhat larger and also tend to have spines instead of feathers; however, both genders may have either or a combination of both. Generally, those with spines are considered more vicious.

As the Neo-Elites are a "created" species, they don't really have a perfectly set appearance. Aside from the wide range of color variations and feathers/spines, the bony "skull" that covers their faces may vary significantly in shape from one to the next. Some may have small "horns" growing from the brow region of their facial plates.

They have unusual feet, in that the outer two (of four on each foot) toes are capable of rotating outward in a similar manner to the twin thumbs on their hands, allowing them to grasp objects and wield some weapons. The level of skill varies with each individual. "
