"So a friend of mine is planning a Halo fanfic/RP thing and he managed to successfully drag me into it. It's set about 40 years after the end of Halo 3, so there's plenty of new Spartans and the "Heretics" and humans have been sharing technology. In the meantime, there are new Prophets, and since the Elites left and the Brutes are nearly all dead, they needed a replacement for the primary units of their forces.

This is the result: a genetically engineered species currently referred to as the Neo Elites - a hybrid of the Elites and the Jackals/Skirmishers. This is a Skirmisher strain, as evidenced by the feathers. They are a little smaller than the original Elites, but they are lighter, faster and more agile, as well as excellent sharpshooters.

This is just a sketch. Some possible color variants will be forthcoming when I have the time. "
