Fisher Cat by Vincent

Fisher Cat

Vincent

A lone masked feline sits at sea,

atop a small island

only big enough to hold just he.

A golden wire wrapped about his paws,

and a line cast into the water.

Ripples break the glassy surface,

and that cat's gaze does not falter.

Birds circle overhead,

cawing for scraps to steal.

The cat pays them no mind.

A tug on the line, and he draws back,

pulling up tonight's meal.

With a fish in his net, he stands,

winding his line around his arm.

He walks 'cross the surface

of the water so blue,

and the fishermen's boats and trawls

part ways and head back home.

A picture of Sir Spooks Sillington fishing with a golden wire. Poem is sort of free-form, made it up on the spot. A fish can be seen breaking the surface of the water, just as golden as his line.

Sir Spooks Sillington is mine, Artwork is mine.
