Sir Spooks "Spooky" Sillington

Vincent

Vincent's grandbaby, Knee, found a plump tuxedo cat walking around the halls of The Painted Dragon one evening. The cat noisily insisted for her/him (Knee's a gender shifter) to follow him. The cat lead Knee to Vincent, having come out of his room after being locked up in there by Dregon, Vince's eldest son and Knee's father, after a series of semi-violent behaviour brought on by mourning of his husband coupled with a withdrawl from black tar heroin. Having calmed over a few nights enough to be let out, he'd wandered into the library, where Knee and the cat discovered him.

The cat took a liking to Vincent almost at once, and Knee revealed that the cat was dead, which startled Vincent. Regardless, the cat didn't seem to want to leave his side, and has become a sort of side-kick to the catboy.

He was named Sir Spooks "Spooky" Sillington by Knee and Vincent, and is now a permanent fixture around TPD.

Spooks wears a porcelain Maneki Neko mask, also known as a Beckoning Cat or Lucky Cat in Japanese culture. The mask channels his illusion magic and allows him to project his form as that of a Japanese Bobtail, the cat that Maneki Neko are based off of, to mortals without higher sight should he so choose. If he does not project this image, mortals without higher sight will see him as he appeared before his death: as a tuxedo cat with a white face. Only those with higher sight or who are sensitive to spirits can see his true form, unless he chooses to show it.

The picture depicts his true form

Spooks is a sort of poltergeist. He makes strange things happen if he so chooses, such as knocking things off tables, moving or hiding objects such as brushes, coins or car keys, and may cause the lights to flicker or light bulbs to explode if he is angry. As a ghost, he cannot be harmed, but can be warded off. He is a benevolent spirit, hard to anger and quick to try and help others.
