For Vis Dev we had to make a scene with two characters using flat triangles, circles, and squares. Had a limit of up to 6 triangles and circles to use. I cheated a little and added a single gradient.
If you can guess where this is from, I'll doodle something nice for you and put it up here. Hint: It's from a video-game.
If there's any way to make it clearer, let me know!
Another hint! They're not ears, they're horns.
I've never played or even heard of Blinkx, but it totally makes sense as a guess! Thanks for your input though, I tried a whole bunch of different variations and color schemes, and I could totally continue to tweak it further, but with the time I was given to do the in class assignment, it was all I had.
They're also holding hands.
I can't think of any cartoon animal video game characters with a red shirt and blue trousers other than Blinx. But I'd say that compositionally it feels very lopsided. I think if you shifted everything a little to the right, it'd feel a bit more balanced.
I thought Blinx has a blue shirt and red trousers?
Mm, that makes sense! I want it to be asymmetrical so it would give one side a sense of openness and make them feel as if they're moving. I guess I could shift both of them to the right so it seems as if they're walking to the right as well.
I originally had them in the center, but for me they felt static. I guess because I pushed them to the left though, their silhouettes are harder to read!

...my first assumption is Blinx: The Time Sweeper. If I'm right, then I think you should have focused on the Time Sweeper instead of the tail, since it's obvious from the ears that it's some kind of pointy-eared character. When doing something minimal, I think focusing on recognizable objects would help.
If my assumption is wrong, then WELP. I tried. <:
