I feel there are better ways to do it that don't stomp all over the image, and maybe it's worth considering some of them? I frequently hide my initials in the body of the work itself so potential thieves would really have to hunt and work to remove it. That way, the generally appreciative viewer gets to look at an unmarred image and it makes it harder for crooks to do what they do! Since we work digitally though, there exists other methods as well, like watermarks that only show up when you throw up contrast and levels in PS, etc. not complaining at you, just something to think about!
