Awww maaaan.... so much text.
Deren was originally meant to be a small inside joke between myself and my husband. But this guy has /really/ grown on me and after I started working with him, parts of his backstory just started pouring out of my brain like Niagra Falls. You'll probably be seeing a bit more of him in the future.

I'd really like to write his backstory in a more proper manner since I was limited with the space that I had to work with on the sheet. Deren's story is a sad one... and I don't think I've done it any justice here.

I haven't drawn his Imperial armor, yet... but I am planning on doing a separate picture to show what that looks like. I'll update here after it has been posted.

This picture is meant to focus on my notes about the character and/or species and putting a definite design down on paper rather then writing a masterpiece. I usually catch most typos, but some slip by me. If you see one and it bugs you, please send a note rather then publicly announcing it. Thank you! There are most likely a few typos here because Photoshop has been sticking on double letters lately.
