Portfolio piece.
I am currently doing a major overhaul to my professional portfolio. The other day, I was talking to an old acquaintance about it, who recommended that I do some examples of packaging that features my work. So I decided to combine two of my favorite things. Looseleaf tea and Lovecraftian monsters. Because reasons. Mostly because I think it's funny. (The illustration for the Shoggoth tea cracks me up).
These designs will actually be printed on tea tins, but they won't be available to the public. I'll just be printing enough to photograph for my portfolio... and possibly a few extra to give away to friends.
The Cthuhlu and Migo teas are based on already existing teas. The Cthulhu tea is a glorified Earl Grey while the blend for Migo is based on a black tea that can be purchased from mighty leaf.
The Shoggoth tea blend is one of my own imagination. There may be a tea like it that actually exists, but I've never seen it. I wish it was real because I think it sounds really good.
Also... I obviously tried going out of my comfort zone and trying a more painterly illustration style with these.
