Hmm I must say I find it hard to critique anything that is done on a base, because the main issues already start with the anatomy on the base. So I'm going to let everything base related go and focus on what you did with it.

First off I'd like to start with complimenting you for trying to use the window as an actual light source. Thats a very good start, especially if you are looking to shade a picture. Light sources are a very important part of making something look good. I would also like to applaud you for adding some things of your own instead of using the base bare bones. Its a big step towards letting bases go as a whole.

Onto the critiquing part then. The thing that bothers me the most about the entire picture is the thickness of the lines. Not only are they very thick but there is no varietion in their width whatsoever save for a few exceptions like the hedgehogs mouth. They also feel very angular. I can see its done with the pen tool at a glance. There's nothing wrong with the pentool obviously, just try to curve the lines a bit more. If you're using SAI you can easily regulate the thickness of the lines as well and make then taper off at the end or make them a little thicker in the middle. It goes a long way towards making things look a lot better.

While trying to use the window as a light source is great, you might want to try something other than a yellow airbrush for it. Using a blur tool, adjusting a layers opacity and style goes a long way to making the lighting look more natural.

    I hope this helps.
