Old art from 2014. This is a background-less version of a picture I entered into the art gallery and on my DeviantART but I kind of like him this way.
I almost submitted this to tumblr back when I had one, but it just sat in my drafts until I nuked the account completely.

I've been on the Neopets website for over 12 years, but I kind of fell out of drawing fanart for it since the current owners of the site are kind of running it into the ground.

I still really enjoy the characters, though. Especially this guy.

The Lab Ray Scorchio, who really needs a last name or even a first name (although he doesn't seem to mind that he lacks one), is so loveable because he gleefully hits every cartoon scientist cliche in the book and wears these cliches with pride. He's not the deepest character in the world, simply because he doesn't have to be. I also picture him sounding like Eric Idle thanks to a certain sequel to a certain Don Bluth film that people pretend doesn't exist.

But no, seriously, if you've seen that film, that entire sequence is basically how I picture the Lab Ray on the site to look like and run.
