Valentine Project [7]

Tsareia

I decided that, because I have so many wonderful people in my life, I wanted to celebrate Valentine's day by giving something to more than just one or two people who have been good to me. Thus, I am making a series of sketches, fourteen total, for my lovers, friends and family.

For another lady-friend and sometimes lover who moved up to the Seattle area after she and I finished school. Looking forward to getting to see her again when the time comes :)

These are such a lovely idea in concept and execution. Love is such a fluid thing, a thing made of such a spectrum of shades of gray that the lines are all blurred. It's a beautiful, chaotic, unevenly paced, wonderfully multifaceted thing that we experience in so many ways in such a short lifetime. It's a pleasure to know folks like you who have such unique ways of loving and seeing love C:.

I'm also really enjoying seeing these sketches!

Thanks! I felt like Valentine's day often focuses too much on that one, singular type of romantic love, despite the fact that there are so many expressions of love in so many forms, and that in and of itself is something to celebrate.

(I do want to say that I have and still plan to feature platonic friends and family as well ;) )
