Evolution of Nakuro and Company

Trevor-Fox

I drew out the evolution of my characters from High School until now. This does skip a few slight stages in development, but these were all major milestones of design on how the characters looked.

The first one on the far left was the first draft my friend drew out for me of Naku. We used to draw Bomberman comics in Middle School, and Naku's design was inspired from Pommy. Bomberman and Pommy became Artemis and Naku.

Naku did go to a four-legged animal, as I did not want his design to be too similar to Pommy. I had a rough time translating this idea, and didn't have everything worked out too well. I also gave him a tail with two large spikes at the end.

With the help of my cousin, Tidus and Lia were introduced, and then I created Zeke to be the silent "cool" character. This is when the characters entered a more "dog-like" phase. The males had different types of spikes on their tails, while the females had no spikes (I have removed the spikes altogether in the current version of the characters, as it was distracting and unnecessary to the overall design).

And now, after several drafts and revisions to the characters, Naku, Lia, and Zeke are what they are now. I really love the design of them now, and I hope to continue to improve as I go along.

Nakuro and Company belong to me! =3
