I loves my babu and I missed him so much ;m;

This guy is from 3 years ago actually (2012 was when he was originally drawn). To get into the swing of redesigns I decided to poke at an old design and redraw it a bit and upgrade it a lot. Alpha was a hybrid between a Rapidash and a Suicune with the Suicune being dominant. He has a lot of history going for him that I'm not going to discuss at this time but people who were around for his original creation will remember the big impact he made.

He's still very much a Suicune/Rapidash hybrid but I pushed the elements towards what he is designed to be, and that is the mythological creature/Cryptid known as the "Bunyip" of course, he's more a combination of 'dog and horse' but I also worked in the features of him having larger walrus-like tusks, the 'unicorn' horn of the Rapidash as a horn for him, etc. etc. He's got gemstones actually growing out of his skin now (Shitty as they are D| I suck at drawing gems in general) where his markings (The diamonds on his body) should be along with the gems growing on his crests. Gemstones like this are only found on the Alpha's of packs of Bunyips who are generally always of the Suicune hybridization. Gemstones CAN occur on others but it's very rare.

As far as features go FOR Alpha he's got a bulkier body, heavily muscled and with many, many wrinkles because well he spends most of his time IN or around water. His front legs are more canine like in structure but with thick webbing between the toes and his hind legs are very horse-like with large hooves instead of toes, etc. His 'ribbon tail' is more of a giant manta-ray like fin that sprouts from just above the start of the hip and it goes all the way down the length of his tail where it grows out into a large sting-ray like tip, this is to help aid him in swimming. Overall, very much the same as before with the long suicune like mane and the flaming 'mane' down the entire length of his back and down the entire top of his long almost 'snake like' tail. Ears are horse like, and were added because well Rapidash and he needs ears damn it D|

But yeah enough of me prattling on... I need to get ready for Next Month where I'm going to (Attempt to anyway) do a drawing every day for a theme April 1-15 will be Hybrids, and April 15-30 will be Gryphons. The transition to Gryphons is pretty much going to be on the 15th :P
