This was originally part of the 100 Themes Challenge that I stopped doing after a while due to college starting up again. Lately though, I decided to look back on my entries for it and see which ones I could polish up. This is one of them.

Also, this story is the most reflective I've gotten in my fiction writing; there are quite a few parallels between what's contained here and my own life.
