Reposted from my deviantART and FurAffinity.
I've had these alien-dinosaur concept sketches sitting on my HD for almost a year now, and I've meant to do something with them for nearly as long.
I still consider these as works-in-progress/unfinished; I'm playing around with a pseudo-painted look that I'm finding enjoyable for quickly laying down colour ideas.
There are some anatomy issues that I need to hammer out.
For whatever reason, I really, really enjoyed sketching this one out.
The above art and concepts belong to me.

Hrm... My methods have actually changed since I drew this, but a few things haven't changed much. I can't recall how long these took, but I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of four hours, maybe. Sorry if my answer is a little vague; was there something in particular you meant when you asked about my technique?
That's okay. I was just wondering what tools you used and how you would go about forming the picture.
Oh, that one I can answer easily. :) I primarily work digitally these days, using Adobe Photoshop (and or PaintTool SAI) and a Wacom Intuos tablet. I tend to start with a rough sketch, and from there I refine and re-draw until I'm happy with how it looks. Depending on what I have in mind, I'll use different drawing/painting methods to achieve the look I'm aiming for.
Thanks for your interest! I hope that helps answer your question somewhat. :)

May I ask what your techniques are for doing this kind of thing? And also how long it took?
