Huevember Day 8 is late, as by the time I got enough time to really concentrate on what I was going to draw, nothing I was coming up with seemed particularly appropriate in the face of last night's events here in the US. Heck, for that reason I was highly considering putting my participation in the challenge on hold. Who can create the kind of art I usually draw (cute and cheery in a cute and bubbly style) in the face of something so sobering?
But then this morning, a quote came to mind as I was getting ready to go to class: "Despite everything, it's still you."
Regardless of the election results, you're still here. I'm still here. We're still here. We can let this get us down, or we can stand up and do something about it - even if doing something about it means stubbornly living in spite of it all.
Anyway, apologies for soapboxing.

That's alright. Even though I'm tired of all politics, it was sobering morning to hear this news on my radio in bed.
