One more doodle dump! Sorry for all of these i plan on having a background picture up next for Halloween! Also the Pulse is tomorrow, I'll try to make sure to talk about that soon!
But in the mean time one more doodle dump for now, as always, this is top to bottom left to right ,starting with the Aquatic drek on the right since thats technically the top

DrekirThaf tend to be quite fond of bows and crossbows for a few reasons.
1) They can be used underwater with limited effectiveness, but they're versatile!
2) They don't rely on gunpowder which an aquatic drek is likely to soak since they are always dripping wet. thus they are more reliable
3) they're cheap, and many Drekirthaf filled regions aren't wealthy regions to begin with
So i tend to imagine drekirthaf with bows as a primary weapon for both fishing and defending their rafts/islands.

just some Spanish drekir in some bushes presumably in the amazon. The text translates as
"Thanks for helping me"
"you're welcome, in the Amazon, we help eachother"
I am thinking that the Amazon should be insanely colorful as a result of the magical influences, lots of vibrancy and magical potency. but i dont know if ill carry through that, regardless it will still be a colorful place!

Here is a drek adventurer wielding a Cho Ko Nu style repeating crossbow with specially made VerdaStal limbs
So I've been wanting to talk about crossbows more in the DragonScape as they would no doubt be a very important and prevalent weapon in many regions of the dragonscape. Mostly because they are cheap, useful, and can be powerful.
So like most things that drekir wield for fighting in the DragonScape, crossbows vary wildly in styles, designs and materials, but they are very useful in most cases for a few reasons
1) They can be made simply and from many materials, their are crossbows built only of wood with wood limbs. Some are built of pipes, some have iron limbs, PVC limbs, or even VerdaStal Limbs for more powerful ones. that isn't even beginning to mention the modern crossbows that may of survived the 30 years. So they aren't too hard to make
2) While bows work fine for drekir a crossbow is arguably handier since the drek doesn't have to face their side towards a target to fire. Instead they can face straight at a target and aim.
3) Crossbows can be powerful enough to pierce VerdaStal armor if firing the right bolts. Which can make them the "poor dragons VerdaStal gun" making them especially popular among guards and fighters in regions that can't rely as much on gunpowder weaponry (see most places outside of a few small regions) Crossbows can also have a lot of range, making more powerful one's popular among snipers. Or of course you can have a weaker, cheaper one that works fine for hunting and against lightly armored enemies.
4) You can make cheaper single shot crossbows (standard fare) "Multi Barreled" crossbows, or various repeating designs of crossbows which makes them often faster shooting or reloading than most VerdaStal guns, which are usually muzzleloaders and breech loaders.
5) you can put a variety of heads on these, from explosive bolts to chemical bomb bolts to normal conventional bolts you can shoot a lot of things with these.
So yeah, crossbows are probably the unsung hero of the Dragonscape, a type of weapon you will likely find in most village, town, and city armories. The only ranged weapons that might outmatch them in power and reloading speed are repeating VerdaStal Guns such as revolvers and harmonica guns

The three teeny doodles are just some adventurer doodles. Which basically means they have a LOT of bags. seeing as they carry everything they live off of on them it would make sense they would have a lot of harnesses and backpacks and whatnot. Looks less cool but makes more sense to me!

A drek doing the "rofl" as we said back in my day hehehe... im only 22 why am i talking like im ancient?
But anyways ive been wanting to draw lively poses and this is what came to mind, something that isn't really a dynamic action pose but something more like just a chiller life pose, like laughing your ass off!

Lastly (presumably) a drek mother walking with a kid chilling on her back.
So I've been trying to figure out what drek kids are like, they are something that is a guarantee, there were thousands of newborns at the time of the pulse and newborns will hatch in the dragonscape sooner or later (probably sooner)
So there is a natural instinct wired into newborn hatchlings to latch onto their mother/father's back. It's basically the natural way a drek parent carries their kid around. keeps the parent's hands free and most of their mobility. So it's common to see mothers with a kid on their back kinda quietly hanging on for dear life.

Shaggy out!
