Another commish for Adryx featuring two broodlords of two previous amalgamate forms you may have seen before!

Here is also a neat-o backstory Adryx wrote for this one!

The screen lit up and showed three friends sitting around a campfire.

"Hey, guys, smile for the camera," John said.

"Shut up, John," Deekahj replied.
John, Deekahj, David and Shaun were camping out in the woods. The four were in their early twenties and around the same height. John had short black hair, pale skin and green eyes, David had brown skin, black hair and gray eyes, and Shaun was pale with blonde hair and blue eyes. Deekahj, on the other hand, wasn’t human. He was a reptilian-human with digitigrade legs, pale green scales, and gold eyes.

“So, have you guys heard about the disappearances that have been happening, right?” Shaun asked.

“Yeah, ten people have gone missing out here in the last month,” David replied. “Whose idea was this, and how did I let myself get dragged out here?”

“You’re very easily bribed and distracted,” Deekahj said. “All we had to do was promise you the latest issue of Captain Nol and you jumped right into the car.”

“Right. You guys owe me five comics for tricking me again.”

“We’ll just add it to the growing backlog of stuff we ‘owe’ you,” Shaun said. “Anyway, what do you guys think happened to the people?”

“I heard that there’s a cannibal out here,” Deekahj replied. “He eats people alive and no one can ever find the remains.”

“Again, why are we out here?” David asked. He looked nervous, which is why his friends brought him. They enjoyed scaring him, despite his tendency to retaliate harshly and without mercy.

“Because, we thought it’d be fun,” John said. “So, this crazy killer—”

“Cannibal,” Deekahj said.

“Whatever. I heard that no one escapes him.”

“Or her,” Shaun added, “it could be a her.”

“Regardless,” John continued, annoyed. “I heard that he sneaks up on unwary campers and hikers, strikes them on the head with a club and then drags them back to his lair to be eaten alive.”

“Sure, John, but how does he take couples? Supposedly, a couple went missing last week,” Deekahj asked.

“Guys, could we talk about something else? Please?” David asked. The others ignored him.

“He’s probably got two arms, moron" John said. "He just drags ‘em both back to his lair.”

“Have you ever tried moving a body?” Shaun asked. “It’s not easy carrying the dead weight.”

“Oh, look at me, fireman-in-training,” Deekahj mocked. “I know how heavy a plastic doll is.”

“Shut up, Kahj.”

Something moved in the trees, causing the four of them to turn toward the sudden noise.

“What was that?” John asked.

“Probably just a squirrel,” Shaun replied dismissively, turning back toward the fire.

A deep, gurgling, growl came from the trees, and Deekahj stood up, grabbing the flashlight off the ground.

“That didn’t sound like a squirrel,” Deekahj said. He turned the flashlight on and shined the light at the trees, sweeping the beam toward the noise. However, he couldn’t see anything… until something began to glow.

Some sort of purple lights began to shine near an oak tree, illuminating some sort of creature with purple skin. There were tendrils on its head and they were giving off the purple light, allowing its violet horns to shine. The creature's face was filled with large holes that appeared to expand and contract as if it was breathing through them, and the thing didn't appear to have any eyes. There was some sort of black, oily, substance dripping from its mouth like drool. More tendrils lit up, making this thing more visible by the second. It had a tail, tendrils coming off the end of it, and there were large claws coming off its forearms, above its clawed and webbed hands. It had a second set of arms that ended in vicious looking claws. The creature stood there, motionless, while the four stared at it, John capturing the whole thing on his camera.

“What… the hell… is that?” Shaun asked, taking a step back.

“I have no idea,” Deekahj replied. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

"Maybe we should get back to the car," David said, slowly stepping backward.

The creature shifted, it's head facing David as if it sensed his movement. David saw this and panicked, moving farther away from the fire, which was the only thing that was keeping him hidden from the beast. The creature noticed him now and roared, causing the others to jump. The purple beast bolted out of the trees, running straight for them. David shouted, turned, and ran, the others following. The creature roared, now able to see all four of them, and tore through their tent, pursuing its prey. However, the four friends didn’t get far. Something landed directly in front of David, who wasn’t able to stop in time and ran into it. David bounced off its body, tripped over a rock and fell on his back. The new creature looked at him and stepped on his chest, its three clawed toes inches away from his exposed throat.

This thing was similar in color to the first, only it had large wings on its back, four clawed fingers coming off the top of the wing. There were a pair of small eyes under the thick, purple, scales on its head, and more holes in this ones face. There were glowing crystal-like growths on its shoulders and back, just above its wings, and its chest was protected by thick, purple, scales. The creature was digitigrade, and looked similar to a half-dragon, but was mutated, its claws and horns having grown far beyond normal.

"Guys, h-help me!" David stuttered.

The beast leaned down and growled in David’s face, dripping oily saliva on his skin. The others turned to run and the second creature reacted quickly, whipping one of its wings out, the extra fingers at the end of it grabbing a hold of Shaun’s shirt. The creature dragged Shaun back and wrapped its wings around its two victims… before suddenly melting. David and Shaun looked around, surprised, and tried to get up, only to find they couldn’t move and were sinking into the tar that the creature had turned into. The two panicked and tried to escape, but to no avail, and quickly sank into the oily substance.

Deekahj and John hadn't made it far from the second creature, and the first was right behind them, quickly gaining. It roared and jumped. The thing landed on John, knocking him to the ground, sending the camera sliding across the dirt, and whipped its tail at Deekahj. It wrapped its tail around Deekahj’s leg, the tendrils weaving themselves around his scales. Deekahj fell, and thecreature dragged Deekahj back to itself as it placed one of its webbed hands over John's face. It released some sort of spores from its palm, the webbing between its fingers keeping the spores trapped against John's skin. John inhaled the spores and coughed, having inhaled a good portion of them, but the creature didn't let go of his face. John struggled, as the creature repeated this process with Deekahj, but it was extremely strong and he couldn't pull its hand off his head. The thing melted a moment later, covering the two in tar.

John and Deekahj stood, but they weren’t able to move after that, their feet sinking into the puddle. They started calling for help, hoping that someone was nearby. The two struggled, trying to escape, but it was useless. It wasn't long before John's hand slipped below the surface of the shallow pool of oil, leaving nothing but a ruined tent and a still burning fire as any sign that anyone had been here moments ago.

The forest was silent for a bit, the battery light on John's camera flashing, signifying that it was about to die. Their campfire had burned down, the flames barely keeping themselves alive. The puddles that had consumed the four began to bubble, a hand erupting from the first, long, webbed claws pulling against the ground as the creature began to form. The thing looked similar to the second creature that had attacked the four friends, however there were noticeable changes. The thing was much bigger and its head now had four eyes instead of two. The creature pulled another arm out of the goo and dragged itself upright, a second pair of webbed hands forming. These were clawless, the webbing covering most of the hands. The former half dragons wings were much bigger, about eight meters in length, and there was a second pair of smaller wings on its lower back. More scales covered the creatures body, as well as the crystal-like formations.

At the same time, the first creature was pulling itself out of the tar, rising to its full height. This thing was bigger as well, pterodactyl-like wings on its back where its clawed limbs used to be, large claws coming off the tops of them. There were more tendrils on its body now, the ones on its tail having formed a webbing between them, making it more prehensile than before. The creatures hands were bigger, the webbing more suited to create a seal around a persons face. The thing was digitigrade now, its clawed toes supporting its massive weight.

Someone screamed, and the creatures reacted. The first one whipped its tail out, grabbing the screaming hiker and dragging it back to them, the end of its tail forming a complete seal around the woman's head. You could hear her faintly screaming as she struggled to escape. The brood lord released spores inside the seal, and the woman breathed them in before the beast let her go, her eyes already turning a dark purple.

The camera beeped twice, and the picture went dark, the camera having died.
