Redraw of a 2020 creature I made. Old version was very ugly and I did not like it (not going to show old version because...its ugly)

This creature lives in a barren wasteland in a world where it's always dark. It does not need any crazy colors or patterns because it does not want to be seen, and if you see it, it's most likely already hunting you.

Its spines on its back can be lowered or raised and contain a toxin that paralyzes anything its stabs. Its mouth contains the same venom/bacteria as the komodo dragon, just to a much higher degree.

These creatures reproduce asexually, but that does not mean they're all female. They do not perform live births or lay eggs, instead they find other creatures, kill them, and leave a piece of their body in the corpse. The corpse is used as nourishment for the appendage as it grows into a baby version of its parent. These void creatures also prefer intelligent creatures to kill for their offspring since the "soul" of the killed creature will transfer into the offspring. (They dont want stupid children)
