At River's Edge

I was never introduced to the fabulous (not to mention close to my off-campus apartment complex) state botanical garden until I actually had to pay a visit there for a couple of my course labs at the forestry school. The amount of flora exhibited at the center could make any dendrologist giggle with glee. I rest my care that I'm more of an animal guy but I digress. Anyhoo, the local river runs through the back of the gardens and this spot right at the bend of the river just really stood out to me. The way the roots of the overhanging tree seem to "trickle" down the bank, almost reaching out and grasping for the water was a nice element to the picture.
