EDIT: His face fur has been redone. He looks so much cuter now XD I swapped out the old camel shag that was falling apart for CR's craft warm beige short teddy. No shaving needed, and look at that teddy bear-dog face!!! I'm only sad that its a tad darker, but hell even that makes it look better. I will be making a tutorial for my Tumblr about doing a refur, with Kukura as the subject, for anyone interested.

So I got Kukura's head for the weekend so I can waterproof his painted parts, and I took the opportunity for some headshots =P He was the first head I've ever tried to do a mane on. Definitely a strange experience XD For this reason, he doesn't have a normal style neck, and can be worn by multiple head sizes =P I'm still working on smooth shaving, but I don't think I did too badly. For those who don't know, he was built on Da-Xia's old base. Kukura is jointly owned by me and my partner.

His is made from 3" locally bought ivory (the same fur used on Da-Xia) for his mane and beard, locally bought shortpile black seal fur for his ears, DF black shag, DF Mongolian light camel shag, and MM dark palomino fox for his eyebrows and 'stache. His teeth and nose are both hand-made from sculpy and painted. NOTE: the eyes look funny from the sides as this head base was originally meant for performance around kids (as Da-Xia), and from a lower angle, it looks more normal. My partner and I did not want to completely replace the eyes. The eyes, ears, and tongue are the only things not changed from Da-Xia's original build, with the eyes repainted.

For those curious, Da-Xia can be seen here: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/722392/da-xia
