Dreamcatcher: Momentary Glance by TeknicolorTiger

Dreamcatcher: Momentary Glance

TeknicolorTiger

From the Dreamcatcher rulebook:

The corner of one’s eye hides the darkest terror. The fear of something creeping up, the gentle rustle of movement, the soft breath on the back of the neck. They all combine into this husk that is only ever seen in its namesake moments, the edge of a claw, the shine of a tooth, or the cold blinking red eye.

They stalk victims near endlessly once their target is chosen, eating into their fears, causing the victim to doubt their own senses, and sanity. This slow work may happen over months, the creature waiting outside settlements to continue the hunt. And once the victim truly doubts themselves, they strike. That self doubt is the key and they take the victim’s body by force, overwhelming them and then walking them into Penumbra.

Not really a speedpaint, but not really a full painting either. For Crystala's fascinating tabletop RP project which I will have the honor of illustrating (well, some of it anyway. X3).
