Happy Year of the Goat! by Taris

Happy Year of the Goat!

Taris

What a night it had been! Judith and Cornelius had just come down to the street festival for some food and games that Friday night, they hadn't expected anything like this! Sure they knew what the celebration was for, it was their birth year after all. But in their own home town it had ways just been another dull country night. But here in little China, oh what a revel.

Upon arriving at the busy and bustling street, lit with their paper lanterns and street stalls, someone cried out, then another and another, and soon nearly the whole Street had let up a joyous outburst and surged toward them. Confused and shocked, the twins froze, and the crowd was upon them before they could turn and run. But instead of a mob, it was a welcoming party, and they were showered with small trinkets and candy.

Shocked, the twin goats accepted the gifts, and let themselves be lead through the crowd by one of the shopkeepers, pulling them into her clothing store. Soon the two were clad in robes, compliments of the house, and sent back to the street. By the time they returned the crowd had dispersed, and the two siblings were able to enjoy the festivities, the firecrackers, the food, and even joining in as the crowd rushed another goat that had come for the celebration.

By the end of the night the two were well worn and in high spirits as they made their way home, each enjoying the last of their spoils. What a way to welcome the year of the goat!

A wonderful piece by Psychoseby Psychoseby for the lunar new year! When i realized that it was the year of the goat, I HAD to to have Judith and her brother done up for the festivities! Psychoseby once again delivered a spectacular piece, exactly what i wanted, ad i could not be happier with it. I think he is still taking commissions, and you should go get one!
I love that it looks like a postcard :)
