Massive Haiku Tower by Taravana

The stars shining down

I walk deep into the night

a cold wind blows by

Sometimes life is dark

But there is always a light

Never give up hope

Lost or forgotten

A leaf fallen from the tree

Crushed beneath a foot.

The sun is shining,

as cicadas churp loudly.

Someone please kill me.

You should look around,

and appreciate what's there.

Learn to love your life.

Just as the leaves fall,

So descends a time of pies!

Tasty pumpkin pies.

To dark the day turns.

Masks on and candy given.

Just say Trick or Treat.

Glorious coffee,

bitter nectar of the gods.

Oh how I've missed you.

Grey clouds overhead,

the wind is but a whisper.

Why couldn't it rain.

Tick tock goes the clock,

as time passes by so fast.

The past forgotten.

Tendrils of dark grey,

flowing slowly through the air.

Smoke slowly rising.

A little fire burns,

contained, trapped, and exploited.

Wishing to be more.

Get the cups ready,

boil the water, drink the tea.

Relax and enjoy.

A curtain of white,

a whimsical playful thing.

A trickster at heart.

What's that crunching noise?

A zombie eating popcorn!

What a world this is.

The defiant tree,

standing alone on a hill.

Who are we to judge.

Can regret exist

in a Utopian world?

I'll stick with this one.

Black and white creature

hiding in a tree tonight.

Sad, scared opossum.

The wind starts to blow.

Dark clouds paint the horizon.

A storm approaches.

A chill in the air

and a fire in the hearth.

Winter is coming.

What are you to do

when all you know is a lie.

Breakdown, and start fresh.

Eating with a spoon,

it makes eating soup easy.

Forks suck and what not.

A shadow at night,

stalking silently, prepared.

Quit biting my toes.

What some consider

a dirty scavenger bird.

They soar above you.

Overlooked beauty

can be found every day, look

to the west at dusk.

Through sorrow filled rain

I strive to forget the pain.

Time moves so slowly.

Limits of a dream

exist as much as the dream.

Live unrestricted.

Alone the bird stands,

Dejected and disjointed,

from the world he knew.

A world of sadness,

he lacked clarity to see

what beauty was here.

In this busy world

can you afford reluctance?

Go and live your life.

A creak here, squeak there,

the ceiling is caving in.

Nobody lives here.

Love is subjective,

but does that really matter?

Love is happiness.

More of a tower of text then a wall...

These are all quite lovely, actually. All these little nuggets of wisdom and observations were quite fun to read. I got a chuckle from several of them, and several others made me think.

I am quite glad that you were able to enjoy them Sparkyopteryx.

In a world where ignorance, sadness, and complacency is more common than not, it brings me happiness that some of my silly ramblings made some people think.
