Don't Open The Door

Tarangryph

Inarguably the most famous photo of Breynz, which has accrued some 10,000 notifications on various tumblr accounts, become the inspiration source for a handful of creepy-pasta stories, and even made it onto the SCP website.

The photo was taken by a friend at the Travelodge Hotel before leaving for the MCM London Expo on Saturday 29th Oct 2011. The other guests found Breynz quite unsettling.

Breynz the Zombie Werewolf was made by clockworkcreature and is owned/worn by me.

You're welcome to repost the photo off-site, but please credit me with a link!

That... is some creepy awesome shit! XD I love it!

Although i must say, I'm rather disappointed in the SCP classification of it as a 'program' I would have expected it to be a physical entity, I was also surprised that it's listed as Euclid.. It looks more like something that would be a Keter, though with no recorded hostility, I suppose Euclid makes sense.. And the physical/visual aspect after sustained exposure to the photographs/program by the 'victim' makes things at least somewhat interesting in the end.

Thanks! I have uploaded another photo of Breynz here which really shows off how gross (and awesome!) he looks. I love displaying him at conventions; he really stands out among all the fluffy fursuits! ;)

As for the SCP classification/description, I'd probably agree with you if I knew more about it. I didn't submit Breynz myself but was linked to the entry by a visitor on my DA page, and I thought it was pretty cool how far Breynz has made it without my influence. He has taken on a life of his own now. I wonder when I'll be asked if I'm cosplaying him/the horror movie character people think he is?

Hmmm, i wonder who submitted it then? To me, it sounds like they almost intended it to be a type of 'slenderman-esque' creature, where it appears in photographs at first, and gradually begins stalking it's victims who see it until it captures/kills them..

The whole SCP foundation is an amazing site to browse through if you've ever got the time and haven't looked already. They have 2000+ SCP classifications, so it's definitely something to look at on a rainy day if you're ever interested.

There are three classifications. (paraphrased obviously, more info on the SCP site)

Safe: As it's name suggests, it poses no observed threat to humans (yet) and is usually docile/inanimate and easily contained/monitored

Euclid: Poses possible danger to humans, but is generally easily contained and monitored

Keter: Poses EXTREME danger to humans/the world at large. Requires extreme containment and monitoring procedures, and are to be killed/destroyed the moment the opportunity/ability to do so presents itself

Thank you for the information on the SCP! I've looked through the site a bit after finding Breynz put up there and it does look interesting! Some of the entries are pretty frightening, actually. I'm in awe of the imagination and skills required to make up these things.

I think Breynz, as I choose to portray him when I'm in costume, is very much an Euclid creature. He's not overtly hostile, but he /is/ an undead supernatural entity and as such he's not "safe" to interact with either. I enjoy playing with people's expectations, though; that's why you'll see him do quite un-zombie-like things sometimes. ;)

Plus I also think anything they don't understand is considered a Euclid. I'm gonna quote the SCP website about Euclid items, "An SCP object is classified as Euclid when its behavior cannot be unerringly predicted, either because the item is sentient, it behaves outside of current scientific knowledge, or its nature is simply poorly understood at present. Euclid-class objects do not pose the same existential threat to humanity due to containment breach that Keter-class objects do, but they still generally require more diligence to keep contained than Safe-class objects.

Although many Euclid-class objects could be used for the benefit of the Foundation or of humanity, they may have unforeseen ramifications after their use due to their unpredictable nature. Some Euclid-class SCPs are eventually understood well enough to be reclassified as Safe, but most remain inscrutable even to the most rigorous of experimentation."

This has long been one of my favorites, I am a great lover of spooky things. The idea of him chasing hopefully after another terrified fluffy furry when all he wants to do is play with their shinny bell makes me smile and a little sad for him, he is so misunderstood. I hope one day to see him in person.
