Mordrith's Song (take 1)

tapewolf

A love song for evil people, based on Mordrith and Julei from the Jyraneth clan, created by :iconsunblink:. They appear in my Project Future comics.

As usual, the song was largely recorded on an Otari MX80 24-track recorder. The more fiddly bits (vocals, bass) were recorded on a TSR-8 1/2" recorded and copied onto the 2" tape when I was happy with them. Mixing was done to a Studer A807 1/4" master recorder.

There were three edits made to the stereo master. I've fluffed the last one slightly because it was late and I was in a hurry. The album version will be remixed and will fix that problem.

Instruments used included:
GEM RP-x piano module
Hammond SK-1
Hammond XM-1
Roland JV-1010 with orchestral module
Roland MVS-1
Manikin Memotron
Waldorf microWave mk1
Moog Voyager
Alesis DM10 drum machine
Epiphone Thunderbird Gothic
Watkins copicat echo

Do you remember when we met?
Your lips a gorgeous shade
As crimson as the blood upon the blade

Under the gaze of the mighty queen
With the swish and the thud of the guillotine

Do you remember how we met?
Your smile was cruel and thin
Until the entertainment did begin

Do you remember where we met?
They turned the rusting lock
And let the slaves down to the chopping block

Under the gaze of the mighty queen
With the swish and the thud of the guillotine

Your executioner is dead
My dear, I've saved your life
Would you accept my hand and be my wife?

My dear, you're evil as can be
I'm pretty evil too
I'd like to have an evil child with you

Under the gaze of the mighty queen
With the swish and the thud of the guillotine
