This is some old art that I never submitted on any of the other art sites and having found it while skimming my files I decided "why the hell not?". This image was sketched, scanned, then colored in photoshop. So it's a mix of tradition and digital in case anyone is wondering why I put it in digital. As you can see I do have a fondness for white, silvers (grays), and blues. Then again this character is as cherished, personal, and special to me as Luna and Lorn. She's another aspect of myself in the design of a species my friend Chi created years back. Pretty much the same time I was expanding on Vars, and we met up with Oni who was working on the Caeldians. Lol so you can see we inspired each other in some ways. Yet amusing enough the two tails, long chest fluff, and leg feather that are seen with the Caeldians and the Drells were pure coincidence. Yay for like minds thinking of similar things!

Drells as explained to me may seem lupine but are more feline in anatomy. Very flexibly with retractable claws. There are different types of Drells, pure blood and halves. Pure bloods sport plates along their horns, as you see on Ari. I forgot the other traits that tell the two apart but I know that was the one that I kept a note of. It's hard to see but her eyes are light to dark purple, very similar to Lorn's. There is a crescent moon mark upon her brow, and the butterfly design floating on it's own is to show what is on her back and between her shoulders. Drells are able to make their markings visible or invisible, the same with their wings. There are other details but I'm leaving that to Chi to decide on what she would like known or not.

I will explain why I titled this image as "Arieath of the Northern Point". She is an elemental, and the elementals of the Drell world are very rare and very important, as well as powerful. Those who go through a trail and survive, or even if the survive, pass it. For you can die, which equals you failed. Or you can survive but know completely that you failed. If one with the power of an elemental passes the trail they become one of the four points. For water that is the North, and since that answers itself. You now know what element it is that Arieath wields lol. Again being vague on purpose but the Southern Point is Wind >3> whom Chi (her Drell and fursona) has claimed.
