SPEAKING OF UNICORNS! This is the 1st painting I've ever done. This is my 1st pained figure I've ever done. To say I was nervous was an understatement. I was clueless, I was nervous, and to top it all off. This was to be a BDay gift to my close friend, Solestra. No pressure, none at all. The figure is a PYO (Paint-Your-Own) Windstone Edition Ki-rin.

Officially it was finished 1/8/12 but I wanted to post it up on my friend's Bday, 1/28/12. Since that time has come and past I post it now. The total time from start to finish as well as waiting for paint to dry along the way was roughly about 12 hrs. Give or take. This lovely represents his Kirin character, color scheme, eye color, etc. Except the horn should be white, but the gold looks nice too :3 The base design was based off the colors used for his Unicorn on our Vale RP, though since a unicorn is obviously different than a Kirin XD the Kirin is waaaaay more accurate: The Warrior

I took liberties on altering some of the traits from his Unicorn to his Kirin. Since his Unicorn is actually an OC to his Kirin self. Even if they are based on the same character of the same name. As you can see I did not do the white marking on the face, left the plates along the underside white. And fought with the shading from white to black on the legs.

Also, note that my camera ate the colors. He's actually darken than the image shows. But it was the best I could do T_T Enjoy :D I'm hoping to get started on Hubby's dragon...which is a BEAST. The figure can be bought on Windstone Edition's home site. Just look for "Paint-Your-Own" category.
