Just experimented with how I approach the color of the colored lines. Which do you guys think looks better?

Type A is depth-based. The color of the line will be the inline color of the color that has the highest depth of all the color sharing that line.

Type B is color-based. The color of the line will be the inline color of whatever color would have appeared under that line.
