River Pterosaur

Taesolieroy

Note! This is not meant to be an accurate paleoart representation of the species! This is a hybrid mashup intended for good fun!

This is a commission request from Kythyria on FA, who wanted to see a mix of Rhamphorhynchus and Rainbow Trout, both species of which have nasty looking teeth. If you've ever seen a trout mouth up close, you'd know what I mean. Speaking of trout, what is it with their spot-mania syndrome?! Just about every species of trout I know of has those confounded speckles!! It was still an interesting anatomy study, considering it was nearly impossible to find a decent profile image of a trout that wasn't angled to the camera by a grinning fisherman or diced up as a dish.

I think if I went the other direction in the base form it might have resulted in a demonic salmon-like creature o.o Though the idea of an amphibious fishing pterosaur tickled my fancy a lot. Spotting the wings to mimic the actual fish was an interesting challenge without making it look messy or unfinished.
