...is the shepherds' warning...

Heavily inspired by safome and TheJokingJester's recent work, it reminded me of the sunsets I used to see in Abuja when I lived there and decided on trying a totally different atmosphere than what I usually do for my pictures.
Chickane is shown here, taunting the rival male of the East Side Pride, probably having poached a few small or medium prey items for pure shits and giggles.
It's not like her own territory is running out of food in anyway, and she made sure she was hungry, so there was no sport hunting; no point in wasting a good meal, but poaching is poaching. Being the quick and efficient killer she is, she ran into very little trouble and pulled down a young wildebeest and was 3/4 of the way through when she was spotted.
Even on a full stomach, Chickane was faster than the opposing leader and his throng of lionesses and gallivanted happily across the planes to the dried out riverbed that marked the border, before sticking her tongue out and sprinting for home.
They won't dare follow; her pride is something else.

The opposing pride also poached their lands as payback but were discovered in the motions of hunting and there was one casualty on their side as Shark, Hendrix, Lorca and Fiascae arrived on the scene and laid into them. The lioness that died was slain by Lorca.

And so, a mini turf war was forged. Both sides having very different motives.
The East Side king wanted to claim Sharks' lionesses and expand his borders in a dominant move.
Shark wanted to eradicate them all for shits and giggles.
