It had been over a week and a half since the ship set sail and Fox had trouble trying to remember faces on the ship, mostly due to the fact he was in the Captain’s Chair for 14 hours out of 24 hours, something that would feel even longer due to being in space. It didn’t help when he wasn’t in the Captain’s Chambers, he was usually asleep since he went straight from the Chamber to his room with Krystal that was right next door most of the time.

If there were things Fox had gotten to know well, it was the size of the chair meant for the previous Captain AND the vending machine that was free due to being the Captain’s personal vending machine. The good news was the chair was more than comfy enough to lounge in, which was half of the battle won. He also found himself either wondering about the size of his chair and why it so specifically accommodated the old captain’s size or just snacking during a lot, since alas, Fox could NOT shake the feeling of boredom from seeing this same room for over half of what would be a day on most any planet in the Lylat. He was beginning to wonder if he had maybe forgotten the old captain said that may have been of some importance…at least he had Krystal by his side though she had more freedom to roam the ship than him, due to not ALWAYS being needed to keep the ship on course.

It made Fox also wonder what good the auto-pilot feature on this ship was for, since it supposedly had one yet he could only use it 10 out of 24 planetary hours. Again, of those ten hours, he would be asleep for six of them leaving just four hours he could use this feature to do something besides sleep. Alas, the rules were the rules. He just hoped the ship would reach its first planet soon though unlike in his days on the Star Fox team, this ship’s leisurely pace would ensure that would still take a while.
