Chapter 18: A New Hero joins the Team

After returning the money to the bank, Aero, and Sakura brought Astro to ACIPD, which was housed inside a skyscraper that jutted upwards from one of the lower disks of Atmo City. Upon entering the main lobby, the three got into an elevator and looked for the floor that said 'ACIPD main office' among several of the headquarter's facilities, and pressed the button to go there. The elevator carried them upward about 35 stories before stopping.

Upon exiting, they found themselves in a police office lobby. There were a few chairs alongside both walls and a desk towards the back of the room. There were four doors behind the desk that led to different rooms in the office. Aero rang the bell.

Upon doing so, a white female Jetroid came into the room from the door on the left. She was white in color like Aero and had red hair with a small lock of pink and had a green bow in the back. She wore a single piece green outfit with a small blue badge on it. She had pink wrists that began at the elbow and ended with gray hands. Her main wings were retracted, but she had white canards with pink tips and red ailerons on them. She had a machine gun mounted in each wrist. Her lower legs housed two missile launchers which could hold four missiles each and were arranged to form the letter M.

"Greetings, I'm Operator Maisy." she said with a smile. "Hey." Aero said. "Could we see Chief Orbit?" he then asked.

"Sure, I'll let him know you here and he'll see you as soon as possible." Maisy said getting behind the brown desk. Pushing a comm on the desk, she said. "Aero and Sakura are here to see you, Orbit."

After about 15 minutes, Maisy told them that Orbit was available. Going into his office through the door to the right of the desk, they saw a filing cabinet at one end, several detective-themed photos and a desk with a few chairs by it and one behind it. Standing near the desk stood a blue Jetroid with yellow and white canards. He wore a white suit jacket with a red tie and black pants, though they ended at his elbows and knees. He had blue wristcuffs with gray hands. He had 2 machine guns mounted on each of his wrists missile launchers in his lower legs, each that could hold six and designed to resemble the letter O. He sat down behind the desk as soon as our heroes did.

"So, Aero, I see you had some help stopping the bank robbery?" Orbit asked. "Yes sir, this is Astro." he said introducing Astro. "So Astro," Orbit asked. "What happened?"

"Well," Astro began, "I arrived in Atmo City today and I saw that there was a robbery in progress on the news. So I went and decided to help out." he told him. "I see." Orbit said. "The news certainly got that story." He displayed an image on a screen behind him. It showed Ami, the gray, gold, and purple reporter Jetroid from earlier now displaying an image of Astro helping Aero and Sakura. "You did the right thing to help them out."

"I sure did." Astro said. Orbit then asked Aero. "Do you know where Astro came from?" "No. He showed up out of nowhere today and stopped the bank robbers." "But don't worry, we'll keep him with us until we can find out more about him."

"Very well." Orbit said. Suddenly, an alarm flared and Orbit pushed a button to recieve it. Upon doing so, the screen behind Orbit changed to show Maisy's image. "What is it, Maisy?" he asked. "We've recieved word that those villains Astro stopped earlier plan to send more troops to attack a research facility here in the city. Their motives are unknown." she told him.

"Understood. I'll send Aero, Sakura, and the new kid to investigate." Orbit replied. "Understood. Over and out." The screen went blank. "That's your que, kids. But don't do anything rash."

"You got it, Orbit." Sakura said.

After leaving the office, Astro started looking at Aero and began mysteriously thinking to himself. 'If I'm correct, Aero was also built by Archibald, the same Jetroid who made me. I wonder if I should tell him... No, I'll wait until we've handled things in Atmo City.' He concluded mentally.
