When Kong watched Godzilla disappear down Anguirus's throat, he thought that was the last he'd see of the big lizard. He didn't realize that There Must Always Be A Godzilla. And when did return, the king of the monsters didn't remember everything that happened. Godzilla was, however, sure that whatever happened was Kong's fault.

The result was another knock down, drag out fight, and this time instead of a draw, Kong lost.

Only then did Kong realize that assuming he and Anguirus were allies was a mistake. After all, what happened to the spiky kaiju's -last- best friend? It turns out that trusting an opportunistic, hungry kaiju was a good way find out what it's like inside that kaiju.
