A very, very belated bday gift for my awesome buddy GhostTheZombie! It's of her sion characters Tower and Torch (who is a nature element, so only sometimes a plantbeast), who are also the most awesome and perfect OTP and utterly adorable together. 8D

I'm pretty proud of this! I tried a bunch of unfamiliar things with it (watercolor background, an art nouveau-style border); for not being familiar with watercolor, I have to say I'm very pleased with how that bg texture turned out! (though masking fluid is a lot harder to work with than you'd think 8'D) It was also really nice to get to work on character interactions and backgrounds in general! The figures are done with marker, marker shaded, then gone back over with colored pencil for additional shading. C: I HAD SO MUCH FUN WITH THE MOSS AND WOOD ESPECIALLY, I MUST SAY.

....these guys are awesome, and also friggen adorable. 8'| That is all. <3

This is amazing! Favorite parts (of which there are many): The cut-out frame filigree. The spongey moss texture on the legs. The bark scales having dimension (they aren't flat shapes, but have an edge to help give it bulk). The brown to green transitions. The small texture in the background (tool-scraped?).

Ahhhh, thank you so much Neo! Your comment really made me smile. ;u; I had a lot of fun with the frame filigree (though it took a LOT more planning than I realized!) and texturing things; believe it or not, the background texture is all done with just my regular watercolor brush! (I just wiped/dried it after applying the paints, and ran it back over while the surface was still wet- that's how I got all that scratchy wall goodness!)

Awww, this turned out so cute Whitneys! ;333; I have to admit for a while I was really confused by the texture on the wall, because it kinda looks like you applied a texture to it in photoshop since it's so detailed and sharp, but...nope! That's a real texture!! On the wall! Clearly you are made of magic. 8'| I also really like the TNK poster and the T+T heart scratched into the back secretly - actually something I did not see until I looked at it a couple times! T+T THEMSELVES ARE ALSO SUPER CUTE. Their poses are just adorable, and the color on them is just. so nice and smooth! I particularly really like the edges on Torch's dark and the way the brown and green are blended together, and his big squishy legs, and how like, Tower's clothes are all EXTRA SMOOTH. And just his happy little expression there, peeking through his hairs ;3; THANK YOUUuuuuuuuuuuuu! <333

Aaaaaaahhhhhhh, thank you so much buddy! ;33333; I am so, so glad you like it- it was so much fun to work on, and I just love these two so much, you don't even know. <33 But yeah! I'm pretty pleased with how that wall texture came out (I did it all with my watercolor brush! just painted, wiped the brush dry, and went back over to make scratchies while the paint was still a bit wet) and I'm glad you enjoyed the little subtle/secret stuff I added. ;D (I couldn't resist the T+T heart heheheh) Also! I'm really glad their colors turned out nice and smoothly; I actually did marker and colored pencil for them to make the colors and shading ~extra robust~, so I'm glad it all blended together well. C8 IT WAS SO MUCH FUN DRAWING THESE TWO BEING ADORABLE, and so much fun working with all the different textures between Torch's planty-goodness and Tower's awesome outfit, and I just. ;u; Thank you for leaving me such a super awesome comment! [MANY LUFFS] <333333333

Thank you so much Wolfy! 8D Man, working with traditional media is so much fun~ Figuring out how to texture stuff is challenging, but super rewarding when it turns out nicely!
