Those harpies were damn smart picking this spot for the ambush. They weren't garden variety harpies either; their aim was truer, their beguiling songs harder to resist, and there were a lot of them. The adventuring party had a real fight on their hands.

As Jenenn made sure the shapeshifted Clafier stayed alive while she tore into them with tiger claws, Acriss was more mindful of what was going on at their flank: One of the harpy leaders' song had already ensnared the mind of Clafier, giving the drow-turned-tigress pause. The harpy bitch also wasn't paying attention, and the medusa was going to have none of it.

As her captivating melody died horribly in her throat as she was yanked violently backward, Burwor the saucy gnome had enough time to yell out, "Your music sucks anyway!"

A commission I did for my significant other last year depicting his male medusa character Acriss stranglin' some nasty harpies. This event didn't actually happen in our D&D campaign, but I could totally imagine it regardless.

Done with Tombow brushpens, Derwent Coloursofts and Staedtler pigment liners on natural white Strathmore sketch paper. The gorgon Acriss belongs to my significant other and the art belongs to me.
