This was one of my entries for the first Foxfan contest over on DA. I didn't place, but it was sure fun to do anyway. ^_^ I wanted to upload it here in honor of fall, which happens to be my favorite season. Here's the description I put on the original:

About the drawing
I knew I wanted to have Maple in the picture right away because he's one of my favorite foxfans. I love his design and his theme - maples are my favorite trees, and we used to have one in our backyard until that huge blizzard in 2013 forced us to have it cut down. :( I came up with this idea of him using a little rake tied to his tail to run around and make leaf piles for his friends to jump in. Later on I changed it to him just fanning them into piles with his tail, which is simpler and makes more sense, I think. I chose Akemi and Coral to be the ones playing in the leaves because they had designs I thought I could handle drawing and they are just too cute! Akemi's color palette is beautiful and relaxing, and by the time I finished coloring Coral I just loved her so much - she's a lot of fun and I love her sweet accessories! (Btw, her glasses fell off when she jumped in the pile; if you look close, you might be able to find them!) I was also going to have more foxfans running around and playing in the background, but it ended up being too much. So just imagine that all around this area are more and more leaf piles that Maple made, and all of the other foxfans are jumping in them and throwing leaves at each other and just having an awesome time! :D
