"Treebough Township is a large town in the southwest of Skaga, made up of woven, interlocking branches from some of the biggest trees that can be found in the country. In fact, they are big enough to house thousands of small residents, primarily squirrels and birds of various kinds. There the animals live and work in peace, tending to the trees so as to keep the town in as good shape as possible.
In order to preserve this peace, the town is hidden among the branches and almost impossible to detect. The secret of its whereabouts is important, as it would otherwise be in danger from both humans and beasts, who have a shifting relationship with "blessed" animals.
When upset, some of the town's residents like to climb onto a high ledge and look out over the bustling streets. It tends to put things into perspective."
