I'm not nearly as happy with the colors as I want to be, but I am still happy with the overall composition.
Took inspiration from a bajillion different things, but mostly Le Voyage dans la Luna , Un Chien de Andalou, ballet (obviously), and Art Deco.
I realized after I had started coloring that I forgot her tail... maybe it turned into those wings?

Thanks! I've always had a special love for the simple straight lines of Art Deco design.

Whoa, I love this piece's clean, vertical composition; the Art Deco design only seems to reinforce the strangeness of it, and it gives the whole thing a ton of impact. There really needs to be more surrealist work around these parts...
